Dutch Government Scholarship Give 20 "StuNed" for Indonesia

Hukumham Jakarta, the Dutch Government through Nuffic Neso Indonesia provide scholarships twenty Studeren in Nederland (stuned) or study in the Netherlands. This scholarship is given to training the Strategic Environmental Assessment (SEA) towards Sustainable Marine, Coastal and Small Island Development.
This training is designed for groups or 'tailor-made training' to the Ministry of Fisheries Kelautandan (CTF) Indonesia. The scholarship is a full scholarship covering tuition fees, international travel and over in the Netherlands, the cost of living, as well as insurance.
Secretary General of Marine, Coastal and Small Islands Ministry of Marine Affairs and Fisheries, Sri Atmini, M.Sc, in Jakarta, Sunday (08/05/2013), said the training is intended to support the CTF program in implementing the Strategic Environmental Assessment or Environmental Assessment Strategic Living (SEA) in development planning of marine, coastal and small islands.
"After training in the Netherlands later the participants will help other CTF staff in preparing the SEA guidelines in marine and coastal areas," said Sri kepadaKompas.com.
Sri said, the grantee consisting of eighteen staff of the Directorate General of Marine, Coastal and Small Islands and two staff Secretary General of the NOA. For three weeks they will attend training at the Faculty of Geo-Information Science and Earth Observation (known by the Dutch acronym ITC), which is part of the University of Twente, in the city of Enschede, Netherlands.
Meanwhile, according to Director of Nuffic Neso Indonesia, Mervin Bakker, as an EU member state, the Netherlands has implemented the SEA for all the planning and development programs since 2001. Thus, the Dutch experience can be used as a reference for the implementation of the SEA.
Before leaving, the CTF will conduct training for pre-equalization understanding of the training materials in the Netherlands, in collaboration with the University of Indonesia.
"Later, in addition to learning the theory of SEA, they will also conduct a working visit to several related agencies in the Netherlands that handles marine and coastal," said Mervin.
Strategic Environmental Assessment or SEA is one tool in the process of formulating policies, plans and programs of the government in efforts to achieve sustainable development. This training is one of the Ministry of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries efforts to implement Act 32 of 2009 on the Management and Protection of the Environment as well as Law 27 of 2007 on the Management of Coastal Areas and Small Islands, through capacity building of human resources related to the implementation of SEA in the field marine, coastal and small islands.
