average connection speeds quarter-over-quarter dropped in Q4-2011 versus
Q3-2011, while connection speed year-over-year was up with an increase of 19%
over 2010
HukumHAM - One of the top content delivery companies in the
world, Akamai, has just published their report with a title “The State of the
Internet.” For quarterly comparison, global average connection
speeds in Q4-2011 dropped to 2.3 Mbps, or a drop of 14% from Q3-2011. For
yearly comparison, global average connection speeds by the end of 2011 has
increased 19% from the previous year. Average connection
speeds in America
dropped to 5.8 Mbps in Q4-2011, or a drop of 5.3% from the previous
quarter. In term connection speeds among all countries, America ranks
number 13. In term of yearly comparison, America ’s
connection speed was up 14% from the previous year
